Since the origin of civilization, various revolutions have been taking place that mark a milestone in the evolution of human beings, starting with the discovery of fire, undoubtedly one of the most important moments for human beings in ancient times, until later, 4000 BC, an invention arrives that would revolutionize the world in a way never imagined: «The Wheel».
Almost 5,500 years later, the invention would arrive that would change the way we communicate with the invention of the printing press, a creation that opened the eyes of humanity, allowing words to reach all people, however, only 4 centuries later would arrive the An invention that would revolutionize the way we move with the creation of the combustion engine and apparently, this not only accelerated the transfer of people from one place to another, but the process of revolutions in innovation, because only 25 years later it would be illuminated the world with electric light; came the telephone, the first automobile and humanity would give way to cyberspace with the arrival of the Internet.
Here begins a transformation that goes beyond physical space as we know it; remote interconnection through networked devices allows a process of joint growth to begin, people in different parts of the world make developments as if they were sitting side by side and that allows changes to begin at an impressive speed, Well, we no longer have the information in one place, the cloud is born, a space where the information is stored, and there are millions and millions of «teras» are stored in a place that we can only define as a cloud and when we believed that the revolutions had reached a ceiling as high as the sky, Big Data and Artificial Intelligence arrive.
All this preamble, to coin the 2 words that for years we mentioned as fiction and today it is a reality, robots and algorithms are predicting and analyzing information, doing processes that previously were developed by several people and that is where the question arises if intelligence artificial is an occupational threat.
We see in different media that 75 million jobs are about to disappear and the heart beats with the concern of those who today have those jobs.
We start from the fact that «The digital revolution is not a technological issue, it is a cultural issue», the challenge opens up fields in different areas, students should change their way of learning and develop new skills in fields that the world demands today.
Yes, 75 million positions are closed, but 133 million new positions are opened to professionals in areas such as innovation, development of new products and / or services, information analysts, big data, application developers, specialists in artificial intelligence and machine lerning, marketing professionals, strategists and specialists in digital transformation.
The panorama today is more interesting than ever, because a revolutionary and innovative idea that changes the world, today can come from anyone with a computer. The challenge and the invitation is to change our current model of education and to specialize in new and more current skills and abilities.
